Happy New Year!
Shortly after Christmas, I purchased this beauty!
Originally, it was two volumes from the year 2000; this full edition, both volumes together, was released in early 2016.
Himekawa, a pen name for I believe a pair of artists (or three), have a remarkable talent for giving LoZ series such colorful illustrations. Hime has done various comics, both adaptations of the Zelda games and original shorts. Currently doing Twilight Princess.
Enjoyable so far.
Familiarity with a dash of comedy. It pretty much starts like the OoT if one knows of the game. Link, a child of the Kokiri Forest race, does not have a fairy and is bullied. But we know not to taunt and reject others for no reason, or they’ll end up turning into something great one day. Poor kid. First, there’s Groose, now Mido and his group. The Great Deku Tree is in danger, and Link will eventually leave the Forest to face his fate connected to time and his long-time nemesis.
Instead of the silent hero, we have a very perky Link that renders him a complete child. I only read the first chapter, so nothing much yet. To be honest, I want to take my time.
